ELISA & ROBB

Ok wow! So it’s been a hell of a long time since I’ve posted any new weddings on here. It’s definitely not because I haven’t been taking photos of weddings, It’s actually been the opposite, the past year has marked my first full year as a full time wedding photographer, couple that with our little monsters growing up, and over a year goes by with out a post. It’s been an amazing year, photographing some of the most gorgeous venues in Connecticut and New York City. I learned so much and met some of the greatest people along the way.

I’d like to start with Elisa and Robb’s wedding at Saltwater Vineyards in Stonington, Connecticut. In my opinion, one of the best wineries in the area. Built from an old aircraft hanger, you can see they kept the character of the original structure, equal parts modern with a touch of rustic charm, the PERFECT setting for a summer wedding.

From the moment I met Elisa and Robb, I knew this was going to be an epic wedding, they are easy going and obviously fun loving! The bright, sunny summer day went off without a hitch. Elisa was stunning and Robb was looking pretty handsome himself. Their obvious love for each other was tangible during their first look, you could feel the anticipation, excitement and ultimate happiness as they finally were able to join one another and truly enjoy the rest of the day together! From there we causally explored the winery with the bridal party, shared some laughs and stopped for a few photos. Their family and friends joined for the ceremony under the brightest, bluest sky you could ask for, capped off by the most sincere first kiss you’ve ever seen, Robb could not WAIT to kiss his beautiful bride and make the marriage official. We absolutely partied the rest of the day away with the dance floor being the place to be, I saw some dance moves that I didn’t think were humanly possible. Amongst all the excitement, we snuck out with Elisa and Robb to share some time with each other, catch their breath and catch a perfect sunset to a perfect wedding!

SARAH & WILL

The William Vale, Brooklyn, NY

The Brooklyn Winery, Brooklyn, NY

Sarah and Will's Brooklyn wedding was an absolutely perfect way to start off this years wedding season. They prepared at The William Vale, and for anyone who is unfamiliar, it may me one of the nicer hotels my eyes have ever seen! Every room has a panoramic view of Brooklyn and the New York City skyline, an epic backdrop while Sarah had her hair and makeup done; and while Will got ready with his closest friends, and by the looks of it, they had the time of their life.

From there we went to the rooftop of The William Vale for a first look that I will never forget, upon the 22nd floor, where we had a total view of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Sarah and Will were so natural with each each other, I was able to simply sit back and capture them just genuinely being themselves, I don't think it gets any better than that for a photographer.

The ceremony was at The Brooklyn Winery, the rustic charm was a perfect fit for a Brooklyn wedding. Will was looking super sharp and Sarah was absolutely jaw dropping! They were surrounded by the closest group of family and friends; they even made me feel like I have known them all for years. Everyting was about as perfect as could be, and their love was sealed with a first kiss as husband and wife,  in front a clapping and cheering crowd!!

... I kind of thought that was as good as it gets...until the band gave Will a guitar and he absolutely brought the house down!!!

It was truly a day filled with amazing moments and I was just glad to be a small part of it.

MERIN & TJ

The Sullivan House, Block Island

What a year it's been! My wedding season is over and there is soooo much to share!

I'll start with Merin and TJ, whose wedding took place at The Sullivan House on Block Island. For anyone who's never been to Block Island, as soon as you get off the ferry, you get that quintessential New England feel. There are small local shops, delicious dining, ice cream parlors, live music and miles and miles of gorgeous beaches, people get to where they need to go using bicycles , and on top of it all is The Sullivan House which overlooks beaches and ocean on all sides, to photograph a wedding here was truly an honor. Furthermore, I couldn't have done it for a better couple.

To say they were a fun group of family and friends would be an understatement, from the moment we started, the day was filled with smiles and laughter. This was one of those weddings where I had to remind myself I was there to work!! But, also a wedding that made me feel lucky that I can call wedding photography my job.

Merin and TJ wanted to do a first look before their ceremony, so what better place than the beach  across the street, and their reaction tells the whole story, TJ was looking pretty smooth and Merin was drop.dead.gorgeous!! Followed by their ceremony which overlooked the bay behind The Sullivan House... the perfect backdrop for a perfect wedding. There were some laughs, some tears and a lot of love for the newlyweds.  From there, we moved to the tented reception where I don't think I saw anyone sit all night long, all I saw was smiles, laughter and some of the most epic dance moves EVER! A true celebration!

I'd like to thank Merin, Tj and ALL of their family and friends for making me a part of their wedding, and congratulations to a lifetime of happiness!!

Price Family Newborn Session

I have so much to share with you guys! So many amazing sessions this year, I can't wait to start posting them.

I want to start with this fun session from early in the year. The Price family was new to the area and when they realized they were expecting their second addition to the family, Mary started doing her research on local photographers. She reached out to me and we decided we'd talk over the phone, instantly, we clicked. The style of photos I shoot was exactly what they were looking for, so I was ecstatic when Baby Reid finally arrived!

I had never been to their home, so I was a little nervous in hopes that there would be enough room with some decent lighting. As Mary gave me a little tour, she showed me the bedroom and thats where it stopped. All white everything, with the most gorgeous natural light flooding through the windows. We started right then and there. From that point, our focus was to have a fun session. I had some ideas, Mary had some great ideas, and the rest we free-styled, and the outcome was one of my favorite newborn sessions ever! Congratulations to the Price family and the most handsome new addition!

a fresh look

2016, it's a new year and time for a bit of a new look.

After a busy Autumn full of weddings and family sessions, the Winter brings a little period of freedom. I made a promise to myself to do a few things, one was to give my website a bit of a facelift as I wasn't 100% happy with the previous look. Secondly, I want to make sure to get more photographs of our beautiful, wild and hilarious daughter, who is growing so incredibly fast.  One of my favorite things to do is to look back at photos of her, from when she was born up until today, and just sit back in awe at the little girl she has become. Although it's cold outside, that doesn't slow down Chloe's imagination at all. So I grab my camera and follow along.

Here's to more dinner parties with your closest stuffed animal friends and stopping to smell the roses!! I hope you all like the new look!
